What a freaky little story set in office culture where the main character seemingly disassociates and gets disassembled in many different ways; exploding in shards of glass, getting stabbed by many random sharp objects, champagne getting poured down her face by her headless bosses, or getting her high heels stuck to the ground while tiny business mice climb up her leg…without revealing too much, she does end up in a swamp. This is where it gets really freaky and frankenstein-y where the main character's skin comes off and she sews it back together in a body shape as well as made a cute bag and shoes to disgust the corporate bosses. This book has so many cool visuals and I love the way Josephine morphs bodies into grotesque but also kinda sexy, cute, and fashionable monsters. I also love the mini voodoo-esque dolls that these 2 angels are playing with towards the end. There’s even a beyblade reference which I think is so funny…my younger brother used to play with them all the time, they really don’t make toys like that anymore these days! I hope I didn’t spoil the book..I’m just noting my favorite parts in hopes that you go read it and enjoy the drawings yourself. There’s a link to where it’s sold in the main image of the book cover, but it’s only available in select places. I rushed to buy this book and the one below from toyboxcoffin
I've been obsessed with this artist for a while now and am always so amazing by the linework and style of Apolo.
